Skilled Visa's & Immigration Lawyers

Good afternoon/evening/morning folks! My wife and I are currently considering our options regarding our location... IE we are not happy with the state of the UK at present and having just had a little one are fearing for her future here. Anyway, enough of the long list of reasons we are looking at Australia and onto the Visa process. Having done a little bit of digging it appears that my wife's profession(actuary) is currently on the national skills list - happy days. However, we may be able to have her company sponsor her out there.. My (very basic) question here is "which is the best route to take?" IE what are the pro's and con's of each approach. Additionally, has anyone had any experience with Immigration lawyers? If so, would there be someone you would recommend? Excuse the perhaps broad/vagueness of questions at this stage but is early days for us and we want to attack the  correct approach :)

These are some of the highly regarded agents who I would highly recommend

@Richard Gregan http://www.overseas-emigration.co.uk/   (Australia & New Zealand)

@Alan Collett https://www.gmvisas.com/ (Australia)

@wrussell   http://www.pinoyau.com/  (Australia)

@Raul Senise http://www.ozimmigration.com (Australia)

However, I would doubt your reasons for migrating. You are jumping from a first world country to another with pretty much identical issues both positive and negative. From years of posting on the forum and living in both, such reasons tend to lead to disappointment and heartache. Kids do well in both and have similar life options in both and are subject to the same positive and negative.

Thank you for the links above. As I stated in my first post, our reasons for wanting to move are the above plus many others which I'm not willing to discuss on a public forum.

 Probably best to have just put wanting to move for various reasons or personal reasons.  Verystormy was just being helpful responding to the reasons you stated for wanting to move as so many have this idea it's so much better in Oz. No, it's just different with a whole bunch of issues just like the UK.

Yeah sorry perhaps my response was a little direct. I'm worldly wise enough to understand that every country has its issues... in fact I lived in Australia about 6 years ago and know this all too well. However it's about whether the balance works for you as an individual I guess!

If you were coming as a couple, I'd say take the opportunity to relocate with your wife's company.   It would likely be a temporary contract for two or three years, but you'd get your costs paid so it's an easy option.

However, if you're coming with a child, I'd say, don't do it unless you can get a permanent visa.
