Jack B
Hi Everyone, I am interested in applying for a 189 Visa for ICT Security Specialist. I have 4 years experience in the ICT Security field and I am CISSP qualified. Unfortunately I do not have a degree which means I do not have enough experience to get a positive skills assessment from ACS. My question is: Does anybody know if ACS recognise CISSP as an ICT qualification and what experience would be needed to gain a positive skills assessment if they do? Thanks! VERYSTORMY
I think this is a bit specialist and you might be better running it past a good agent. Most agents will give you an initial free assessment
kevsan
From a post in 2016.. CISSP will be recognized by ACS as comparable to AFQ Diploma so you will get only 10 points, unless you have bachelor degree which gives you 15. There is no special treatment for CISSP now. (Few years back there was a special category for CISSP, which was discontinued since 2011)
Jack B
Thanks for the replies! That's good to know that they will accept it as comparable to AQF Diploma. Unfortunately looks like I will have to wait until January to be eligible to pass the ACS skills assessment due to not having enough experience.
