lynnielynn
Hi there, our eldest (25 years old) son's RRV ran out last May, he's now been out of country for over 5 years, a local agent suggested he can come over on an ETA which is not a substantive visa then apply for a new RRV onshore, does anyone know if this is accurate? ali
I have heard that - but don't know how accurate it is. Your son, should try to get the RRV first - he may only be granted 1 year, but if he can show compelling reasons and substantive ties he may get it granted. Nemesis
I've seen some people where it has cancelled the PR, and others who have been lucky. I've also seen some who have appealled andgot the PR reinstated, but others not so lucky. If he wants a RRV apply offshore, much safer.
