We have 2 and a half years to take up residency, but my husband has been offered a job in NZ. Is it possible to go there before taking up residency in Australia or will his work visa from NZ affect our Australian PR visa? One of the reasons he's taking the job is because he will get licensed as an electrical fitter, that I believe can then be transferred to a state Australian license. DXW059 Posted February 16, 2018 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Hi, You say you hold Aus PR visas - therefore you do not need a separate visa for NZ as NZ PR is granted on arrival in NZ for Aus PR holders.
