Dorthy
recently moved over to aus, and have tried working in a nursing home over here. I found it very stressful, as I only got 1 day of induction, no fire training etc... I did not feel that I could work safely, so did not return. Anyone else been in a similar situations? I’m trying to find out which setting would be more suitable for me, as I like to work “ thoroughly” and not rush around all the time? Amber Snowball
Sounds about right. Profit driven industry. Tell us a bit more about yourself, are you a nurse?

Amber Snowball
I don’t know any nurses that feel they aren’t rushing all the time to be honest. But maybe ICU as it’s 1on 1 care or palliative care might be calmer. Work conditions vary state to state and between private and public sector. Others in different states might be along with ideas. I’m in Victoria.
