I didn't recommend Cineworld. Personally I think cinemas could be on the way out along with shopping malls. Doesn't mean you can't make money on it as a recovery play. But I don't own Cineworld shares.

It's starting to get interesting out there. Inflation is a worry.

I tell you what simmo. I've currently got £10000 invested in rolls Royce. They are about a pound a share ATM.

You buy £10000 in bitcoin and we'll compare notes in a years time. The winner can buy the loser a pint in wetherspoons, which incidentally I also have £10000 of shares in.

Oh, and obviously mine is in an ISA so I pay no tax. I'm sure you can work some way of putting bitcoin into an ISA.

Tortoise and the hare parley.

RR making a comeback. Bitcoin still in front, but RR is roaring along (and you can still here the clock tick)

Did you buy any Rolls Royce. They are doing well. It was a good call by you.

I did have some but I took profits and didn't get back in. So many companies, so little time.

Plus they are hemorrhaging money, and bond yields are rising.

They will do well, but there are safer fish to fry.

Maybe a big correction is starting. Hard to tell. Good to play it safe at the moment i think.

It's a turbulent time, and there is risk.

Strictly speaking, financials should do brilliantly. Industrials should do well. But there is a danger of everything getting caught up in a tech sell off.

Plus, we could have a surging USD to contend with, which could affect Australia and Asia.

But you won't be rewarded for cash, and you will be punished for gilts.

Defensive possibly.

It's possible to make money as tech declines and moves into cyclical and value stocks. It's just depends on the speed of change.

I'm 60% invested in cyclical and value. Rest in cash. Slowly moving cash into cyclical and value. Will probably rest at 80% invested.

The big question no one knows is whether we will get inflation and whether it will dampen the recovery. We won't know this until much later in the year.

If fed banks lose the curve, things may get very bad. We have a Goldilocks situation currently. I'm hoping it holds.

Buy banks and pray.

No I haven't invested in Bitcoin the ROI is too low. But I invested in Dent and XDC well below a cent. Also hold RSR, XRP,  PAC and a few others. I've made £310,000 in the past 4 months (profit) I invested around 15k so a very good return to date. I advised family and nieces to invest in them and they've tripled their initial investment in a month. The alt season is almost here. I'm @CryptoukDigital on Twitter so you can see what I advise there.

Congratulations on your profits.  There doesn't seem to be much advice on your twitter feed, just lots of HODL - rocket to the moon - memes?

I have DENT also. I bought them as a punt a few years ago. Only $500 worth at the time and they went down to virtually zero and i forgot all about them.

I noticed they have made a comeback lately. Maybe I'll get my money back on them.

I am still holding ZEC, ETC and Vechain. These are old purchases. I'm not buying anymore as the market is too high i think.

Bitcoin is suffering a nasty correction.

Still slightly above the level i sold out at. I sold about $20K too early but you never know what can happen with crypto.

Luckily i haven't been tempted to buy back in but if it goes down to $20K USD or below i probably will. This boom bust pattern keeps happening with bitcoin.

We are preparing for our retirement.

I'm retired and getting incomes from super, uk pension, NCB pension, Ferranti pension and my wife is still working🙂

I put extra into super from 60, transition to retirement, which gives you a tax break, we've paid the mortgage off but I never felt I had enough to risk in shares, bitcoin, going to the casino or gambling.

IMO you have to have enough to know you can lose altogether to be in anything like that. Paying the mortgage off was probably the best investment we made.

Bit coin mining worldwide in a year uses as much power as the entirety of Argentina in a year.

It's just being paid to burn as many resources as you can with no purpose.  It's not a tangible creation, it's just a ponzi scheme based on paying people to waste electricity. They could have based it on killing kittens for the same end.
it's literally burning a whole countries worth of energy, and someone paying you for the amount of electricity you've wasted. You're not even putting that electricity to any good use - quite the opposite, you HAVE to use it for a 100% useless task.
Just stop for a second and think of one common GOOD that comes from crypto. When you have a genuine, undeniable common good that outweighs all the silk-road / electricity wastage / insane GPU market disruption / gullible idiots losing their shirts / criminality / and sheer pointlessness of it all, please let us know.

I don't think there are many gullible idiots who have lost their shirt given crypto was the best performing asset class of 2020. https://www.valuewalk.com/ten-best-performing-assets-2020/

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum were ten baggers for me. and i sold out way too early by listening to people like you which was a mistake.

So how much CO2 is released when you burn a kitten? Worthy of research I should think.
