Any advice on cheap routes/airlines that can cut the cost. Currently Melb - Santiago is $2.5k pp with qantas via Sydney, anyway to make it cheaper? Try this, the Luthansa one says South America. http://www.roundabouttravel.com.au/deals/ other than that you could wait a little as sometimes the airlines come up with deals, for example Qantas came up with a fare to Mexico City cheaper than to LA but still using the LA flight! Eera Posted February 8, 2018 Share Posted February 8, 2018 Is that Qantas codeshare with Latam? I've seen them down to about $900 out of season from Sydney, though sometimes it's via Auckland. It's very early to be getting prices that far ahead, normally 300 days out you'll be getting all the airlines. Last year Latam had a good sale on which was in October for travel early / mid 2018.
