Natd
If anyone knows a bit more about the visa Assessing process and could offer some advice I would really appreciate it. I have a couple of questions. First, when I submitted my EOI in April 2017 I stated 6 years work experience in a related field as this is what my skills assessment stated. However when I submitted my visa application I stated 5 years as I didn't want to claim for my maternity leave in case they don't count it. What I'm wondering is could this change in work experience be reason for refusal if it does not affect my points? Second, the assessment seems to be taking a very long time. We submitted in June and still have not heard anything, does anyone know the maximum amount of time it can take? And what would happen if the visa is granted more than a year after our police check? Can we just re-do them? Getting quite anxious now and any advice would really be appreciated TIA

Natd
Hi, I haven't heard anytjingvues so I don't know if it will be refused. I'm trying to work out whether it will get refused as I am claiming less work experience than I submitted in my EOI because I realised that they won't count my maternity leave. It doesn't affect my points though. Hope that makes sense. We have been waiting a long time as originally submitted visa in June!! Don't know if this is a good sign?? Thanks
reubs2016
Personally I don't think you have been waiting a long time it has only been 6 or 7 months. This time frame is quite common. You can underclaim points but not over claim as far as I'm aware. In this process you have to have patience.....lots of patience
