chadrii Posted January 16, 2018 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Hey, just few questions. I applied 26th of feb 2017 for 820, dec 12th I got an email asking my partner (sponsor) police check. We uploaded it on immi page and also replied to assume case officer via email that it has been provided. I thought I had a co now? I still haven't heard anything back, nor has the visa status changed on immi account. What are the waiting times if applied 2017 feb? we also are in process of moving (currently on 457), means I have to leave my employer. If I cancel that visa, I need to apply for bridging, and if I want working rights i need to apply for them. Does that affect my 820 application in any way? can I still cross my fingers and toes and hope i do have a co and she's just working through my application? Thanks for your help ? Raul Senise Posted January 16, 2018 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Processing of Partner applications has become very slow and time-frames continues to increase. If your 457 is still valid, leaving your employer may lead to your 457 being cancelled and you becoming unlawful and going onto a bridging visa E, which is not ideal.
