ellawash
What are the options for new arrivals on a 300/100 visa for their children in primary and secondary schools in Qld
Quoll
Find a house you want to live in and rock up to the local school and enrol. Take your visa, evidence of your home address and your kids’ Vaccination records and Bob’s your uncle. They might ask for you to give them a day to get things organised. Schools go back usually just after Australia Day. If you’re trying to enrol before the kids go back, same applies as staff are usually there before term starts. Quoll
What costs can we expect to pay one in primary and the other in secondary for the state schools and an idea of fee paying schools, advice please “Voluntary” contributions are up to the school then there are all the add ons for excursions, visiting teachers, performances etc and in secondary there are subject specifics for elective courses. If you think $10pw for primary and $15pw for secondary you should be ok unless the school has big camps or things like that. Fee paying schools anywhere between $5k and $20k pa per child )Catholics are cheapest.
