Bioguy
I am applying for 600 category visitor visa using online portal. For document submission, the request is for "certified copy" of passport, bank statment, etc etc. I don't understand the concept of certified copy when all you do is scan the document and upload it online. For example, if I take a copy of the passport and certify it, then I scan the certified copy and upload; that doesn't make sense. Why can't I just scan the passport directly and upload it. You know what I mean - the scanning process itself nullifies the certified aspect of a copy. I think the "certified copy" requirement is for paper application submission by mail. I don't think the online portal updated its requirements for online submission. Do you think I can just scan the documents directly and upload without "certification as true copy". Any suggestions, appreciated.
rammygirl
I think the written instructions still ask for certified copies. For PR visas coulour scans are acceptable so I don’t see why they wouldn’t be for a visit visa too. I would just send a coulour scan, they seem to prefer jpg to pdf format.
