Just can't find it now! Looking to transfer my current 457 to a new employer. Am I right to say 4 - 6 weeks from lodgement? Cheers

MaggieMay24
457 nominations seem to be taking anywhere from 1-6 months at the moment so it's difficult to predict when to expect one to be finalised.

Thanks Maggie. That is actually pretty insane its blown out that much. Doubt my new employers would be willing to wait that long given the position needs to be filled. Very disheartening to hear! Ive clearly wrongly assumed they would have a separate team (or person!) for 457 transfers as they are usually pretty quick and easy. Raul Senise
If all documents are provided at time of lodgement, 457 nominations applications to transfer existing 457 visa holders are given priority processing.

Werneroeder
Can someone please explain how the transfer works? Am I still on the Terms and Conditions of the original Visa? Is it only the sponsor change, and the job title stays the same? How long would this process take? Thanks.
