abdfahim
Is it allowed to travel between the citizenship application and test? It appears that the waiting time for a test in my council is 5/6 months and I need to travel within 2-3 weeks of my citizenship eligibility. I do have a valid reason for the travel (an internship) and strong reason to return to Australia (to continue with my PhD).

Make sure your visa is still ok for travel and that you don't yet need a RRV.
abdfahim
Thanks a lot. Yes, I will have my PR valid for 1 year and won't have an issue to return to Australia. As the internship can take 4-6 months, I hope that won't be an issue. I'll lodge the application before I leave and from my understanding, the residency criteria (9 months in Australia in past 12 months) are checked on the day of online application, not the test.
