Aussiebird
Hello everyone, Are there certain health conditions in Australia where the medication is free like in the UK? My husband has medication for life but because of the particular condition, it falls into a category where his medication is free. I on the other hand have to pay for all of mine. People who have hereditary conditions such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol still have to pay in the UK, but someone for example with epilepsy does not have to pay. Many thanks. NicF
People on low incomes or people with certain conditions can get a Healthcare card which gives cheaper prescriptions. I have no idea what conditions give you a healthcare card other than ASD or how much cheaper the prescriptions are though.
