Can you teach in Australia with a PGCEi?

Recommended Posts

Hi can anyone tell me if you can teach in Australia with a PGCEi? If so is it widely accepted? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

From what i have learned so far. To pass the skills assessment you will need a 3 year Bachelor degree followed by a PGCE. So 4 years total.

from which university  is this? As long as the PGCEi has minmum 45 days of teaching practice, you should be fine in most states.

This is a new qualification, but I believe that it has been done recently. You are required to have four years of university education with 45 days supervised teaching practice, if you can prove this all is good.

The criteria for teaching in Australia and qualifying for the mandatory pre-migration skills assessment for migration are different .
