What was it...133% rain in Sydney across 3 days than London gets in a year ?  Missed us again further south, just your normal winter though a bit colder than last year.  Great for hiking after about 10am.

I think it’s warmer than last year except for the odd day here and there.  Definitely not missing the NSW rain.

I hope @Rallyman is safe and sound in the Hunter Valley region.

There are more than 6000 people who have been told to evacuate the Hunter region now and another 5000 have been told to prepare to leave their homes.

Towns along the Hunter River are the main focus for emergency services today as the waterway is expected to reach higher than 13 metres, which is worse than the floods in March for the region.

I am good thanks , very kind of you to be checking, pretty safe where we are but most roads were closed around us , broke has been evacuated it’s completely under water along with many outlying areas. Can’t imagine what people are going through with their homes under water . We do take life for granted at times.

A number of things are currently being discussed regarding this message board and some temporary changes have now been made.

These changes mean there must be no threads that could be considered political, religious, race related or about COVID (unless discussing outbreaks and alerting the members).
Any such threads started will be removed and the poster potentially losing the right to post.

I am afraid a minority of the members spoilt this for the majority

At this moment in time, the changes are temporary but could be made permanent. Other changes being considered are removing CTF indefinitely.

Please remember this is an Australian Visa related community message board..

Can I also remind you that duplicate accounts will see both accounts banned for life and all new members placed on moderation.

It is not up for debate at this time and, as such, this thread is locked. Some threads have already been removed.

Thanks

I dont think I could live in a hot country like Spain or Australia any more.  I don't find searing heat pleasant at all.

Cold, clear frosty morning here.

I know what you mean @simmo.  Anything over 25C is too hot for me these days.  One of the reasons we retired to Tassie is for the much more temperate climate.

Stay cool.  😎

Thank you, so fed up with thread after thread high jacked by mostly the same posters, and turned political to spout the same rhetoric.

Beautiful weather here in the south of England.  The 7 day forecast is sunny everyday with temperatures between 27 and 31 degrees.

Horrible weather here too PB.  Supposed to be 12C but it felt colder than that.  Bitter cold wind coming off the mountains, dull, dreich day.  Just put the dog out for a pee and he usually mooches around the flower border and shrubs but he cocked his leg on the lawn and shot into the house at top speed.

It's a very blustery, rainy night here.  I'll sleep like a log -  always do when it's a wet and windy night.

I like the sound of rain and thunder storms at night  but wind (no jokes please) keeps me awake.  Apparently it send people mad.  Tarifa Spain has the highest suicide rate in the country because of the wind.

If I have roofing projects on the go the rain keeps me up...

We get a lot of  wind here (roaring 40s) especially during spring and it does affect some people making them feel irritable and jittery. 😣  I like a good windy day but not day after day.

35c already and forecast to hit 41c, i have lived in countries where it has hit 45c and as it is a dry heat its not to bad, 40c in the UK because of humidity is unbearable. We need to keep our animals safe and the elderly as we are not set up for this heat in the UK 😳

When it gets really hot in the UK it's usually (probably always) due to hot dry winds blowing in from the continent, so the humidity isn't too bad.  E.g. the Met Office are forecasting a maximum of 38 deg C in London for today (Tues 19th Jul), but the humidity is only forecast to be 18% or 19% at that time.

But don't worry, it's forecast to be cool and grey again tomorrow.
