Anyone experience last night's storm in Melbourne?  Crazy in the middle of the night, worst storm in years. It was sheet lightening and a kind of purple colour, never seen that before.

I saw on the news that some parts of Geelong copped it pretty badly.  Roofers are going to be in high demand.  We had a nice day but tonight is pretty rough.  Heavy rain and lots of wind.

Still 22 here in Perth. Another sunny one today, another game of golf. Rain forecast for Sunday I think.

Lovely day here too.  Took these photos an hour ago.  It's warm in the sun.  Had to take my cardi off.  😉  The children are now allowed onto the skate park.  The local beach.

Do your flowers do OK in that heat?  Our lemon tree shades the flower border in our hot backyard which helps on the over 30C days.

No , the plants have to be watered twice a day , early morning and late evening .

Luckily we have some much need rain arriving .

This will hopefully wash away the algae in the communal pond - it has gone mad over the last few days .

We planted loads of water lilies and pond weed in the winter to fight off the algae,  but it appears we are losing at the moment 😀

We put up loads of bird boxes during the winter , and these are being used , which is great .

Theres even a woodpecker nesting in a tree close by - which is lovely  .

The babies are making a lot of noise .

The first 5 months of the year in Melbourne have all been significantly wetter than the monthly average for rainfall.

I want it all, and I want it now.

Time to get out your thermals Ramot.  😁

It was 3C when I was out first thing this morning and I didn't put on my gloves as it was so sunny.  Big mistake.  My fingers were freezing.

We had more rain today - not a lot but more than usual for the time of year. Everything looking green, lovely. Went down to south Gippsland to visit granddaughter for lunch and belated birthday for our great granddaughter. Great that it is now ‘legal’ .  No covid down there at all so far.

It has been warm and sunny since march in the UK which is nice but I do worry that this is to do with climate change which is a worry/
