shellymc
I’m a 46 year old hairdresser/tutor and also manager experience. I have a sister who is a citizen in Melbourne and just wondering is there any way I can get a visa to live there. I tried a few years ago and passed my TRA assessment and IELTS test then they changed criteria. I don’t know whether I can apply for a regional skilled visa or am I too old plus if I can does anybody know of any business willing to sponsor me. I have 30 years experience. cheers
VERYSTORMY
I am afraid the issue you will have is age. The cut off for permanent visas was reduced this year to 45. You would be eligible for a business sponsored 457 visa, but this is only a temporary visa and at the end of which you would have to leave. shellymc
Isn’t there a 186 or 187 with the age limit of 50?
VERYSTORMY
the age limit for new applicants for 186 and 187 is now 45. However it may be good to speak with a registers migration agent. Most good ones will do an initial assessment for free
