NewYearNewLife
Hi, Thanks to everyone who has previously posted about their shipping day experience. We are shipping our entire house full of stuff and I'd really appreciate some feedback on the best way to prepare for the team of packers. - Do drawers get packed as is (full of contents) - Do they give you time to check and maybe take a photo of the contents of each box (we aren't opening them all on arrival in Australia as we are moving to a smaller house) I've heard the team of packers come into your house like a whirlwind and as a control freak, this is making me very anxious. Any advice and experience much appreciated, thank you
SPRINTER
Ours came in like a swarm of locusts, I had packed things in drawers, but they wanted them packed in boxes so things got mixed up, a lot of boxes, especially my tools had been badly handled with contents in a heap at the bottom, they did the packing? Luckily nothing damaged, Speak with the move manager about the packing and photo as much as you can in case things go missing..
NewYearNewLife
Eek ... that's what I was worried about, but at least I know. Thanks for your response, that's really helpful.
