Jemvin
My partner has worked for building company's in a show home as a sales man for 20 years. Commission based and earns between $100-$200k per great . ( It's not the same as real estate.) The uk's way of building : selling new homes etc seems very different over there and I doubt he could get a job doing what he does in aus. What would his options be ? Are the sales jobs in the uk that earn good money ?
VERYSTORMY
It is different but they still employ sales people who are based in a show home to sell to buyers. The difference is that in Oz, the builders are selling the design only in effect as the buyer has to also go out and buy a piece of land. In the UK, a developer builds a development, with a couple of show homes. I have seen a couple of show home based sales roles advertised on indeed.co.uk in the last week. The salary looked to be about the same - possibly toward the lower end of his current
