..and much much more!

    Hi folks,

My husband and I have just emigrated to Melbourne from Scotland and both loving it so far. We have family here which is great but hoping to find our own way also and to meet new friends. My husband has signed up to a local soccer team and im sure he'll make friends easy that way (men and soccer eh) but i don't really have any hobbies or clubs i could join to network. We're both in our early 30's. Any advice would be great.

    Jen

A lot of my friends are my husbands friends partners. I've found that of the friends I make independently, my husband often doesn't have much in common with their partners so it can be difficult socialising.
Amongst other things, you could try heading to the football club some time after your husband has played, there's bound to be a few women to chat to
