Generally people book a short term furnished rental or some such for a few weeks and then house hunt for a longer term rental during that time.

However, that’s slap bang in middle of school summer holidays and prices may be at a premium and also places booked up already.

Get busy checking on Air BNB, Stayz etc to price up short term stuff asap.

Many families have stayed at Ashmore Palms, Gold Coast holiday village or Brisbane holiday village for their first few weeks ,especially if they have children as these cabin parks have playgrounds and pools. If you book a 4 week stay you used to get a decent discount so if you do enquire ask about that.
