38 degrees in Perth yesterday 28 overnight and humid - it is almost never humid here - now it's autumn we get humidity??? Again 38 degrees here finally gave in to put A/c on - will be on all night.Normallydon't need it as we get the Freo Doctor bringing a cooling breeze - he's gone walkabout! Never got these temperatures in summer. Also just listening to the news we have had a record 54 days without rain - weather it is a changing!

Expect 34,today

We are expecting a high of 17C today.  In Devonport we have squally rain and wind.

South west Victoria are experiencing bushfires.  Emergency services issued evacuation alerts for four bushfires burning out of control in Victoria's south-west in the early hours of Sunday morning. As of 12:00am fires were burning in and around the towns of Gazzette, Garvoc, Gnotuk, Ayrford, Hawkesdale and Terang. :(

Still showery in SE Queensland and hot/humid.

We have had more rainy days in past 2 months than in the previous 28 months since we arrived here and more is forecast for the weeks ahead.  The ground has been saturated here for weeks now.  No floods, just almost constant showers and rain really.  Feb and March are meant to be wet but we have had double average rainfall in both months.  Hoping that we get a change soon.

I know of 4 couples who are heading up to Qld next month to escape the Tassie winter.  Hope it's a bit drier for them by then.
