DukeNinja
Thinking of going away Friday evening and returning late Saturday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ideally 1-2hrs drive from Brisbane. Thanks! DN
Guest The Pom Queen
Hi @DukeNinja I know I keep saying it but Noosa is fantastic. In fact anywhere on the Sunshine Coast is lovely.
ScottieGirl
I love Noosa. Fantastic beach and great walks in the national park, some of the paths are buggy friendly as well.
calNgary
Caloundra or Mooloolaba for me, or Brisbane city itself. Cal x

Gbye grey sky
This is our favourite little hideaway near Murwillumbah in the Pacific Rim. http://www.hotelsone.com/crystal-creek-hotels-au/hillcrest-mountain-view-retreat.html?as=g&aid=101926485998&dsti=516289&dstt=8&label=bh516289&akw=hillcrest mountain view retreat&asrc=Search&ast=_hillcrest mountain view retreat&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkJvqucmM1wIVyqFoCh3VjAsXEAAYAiAAEgI-M_D_BwE

Wonderingaloud
Caloundra for us, not as far as Noosa, plenty of little shops/places to eat in an evening and fantastic beach options on your doorstep- bullock beach great for young kids (no waves) lovely esplanade walk along to kings beach with plenty of rock pools along the way to explore, great beaches and surf, then there’s Moffat Beach 5 mins away (my favourite, more of a non commercialised local beach) Currimundi lake is another 5-10mins drive where you can hire paddleboards from the shop, and then walk out to the sand dunes and the massive expanse of beach and ocean beyond. Great fun.
