187 Visa Processing Time

As we know, each month DIBP publishes the global visa and citizenship processing times for the previous calendar month. It is important to understand what is the significance of that statistics.

So, what do you know from the global visa and citizenship processing times?

You know what is the maximum time taken for the quickest 75% and 90% grants among all the grants issued during that calendar month.

It is not the average time, it is the worst of the best 75% and 90%, respectively.

It does not necessarily have any relation to the average processing time. For example, hypothetically, if in July, total 100 grants were granted, out of those fastest 74 grants took 3 months, and 75th grant took 11 months, this statistics will show 11 months for the 75% grants.

It has nothing to do with your application date. It just gives you an idea about the last months' grants, some of which might be lodged a month earlier (e.g. processing time 1 month) and some might be a year old (e.g. processing time is 12 months or more). So, a question like "whether my application is affected by this processing time because I lodged X months ago" does not make any sense.

It is direct entry that is why the reason you need 3 years experiences.

I think if you don't qualify you will get refuse and lost a lot of money. It is obvious that your employer doesn't have any knowledge about immigration like registered migration agents.

Hi there, i know this is abit OOT

Is the 3years experience to apply 187 really needed? Even i apply through the direct entry system?

I’ve been asking around, and most of agents said it is necessary

however, my boss insisted that i still can apply for 187 visa DE, she got my state nomination done and asked me to put through my application

do you think it is a very risky decision to go for it?

many thanks

hi Tiffanyy,

Even my employer said that I can be eligible for the 187. Did you hear anything more?

Hi there my friends,

My nomination and visa were submitted on SEP 17, the position is conference organiser. RCB was approved after 2 weeks.

Got some questions here, A)Someone told me that it has to be kept all fininancial docs updated quarterly til the nomination gets approved?

B) Just wondering as an applicant how I can keep tracking that it is in a right way? Being confused because unsure my MA is still working on it or not since it's been a while after submitting my application.

Thanks everyone

Submitted requested docs on 28th of December and on the same day status changed from initial assessment to further assessment.how do I know if  CO is  looking at my file or it is still in the Que?

There is no way to know of a CO is looking at the file..Dont worry you will get your PR soon. That's the next thing that will happen.

Hello everyone. Happy new year. My Nomimation was approved on 1st November 2018 and there was no request for further documents. I have not heard anything since then and the Visa status remains received.  Please is anyone in a similar situation or knows someone who had a.similar situation.  Visa file not allocated to CO 2 months after nomination approval and no request for any document.

Child Care group Leader. ACT. Visa and nomination submitted in June 2017 (same time).

Congratulation khalsa ji.. But bro isn't it wierd that how low these MA takes us.
I mean in your case where 1 min seems like 1 year of wait.. your MA didn't tell you your biggest thing for 3 days. Very strange.
