I have flipped through some of the posts in here, and noticed the status should have changed to initial assessment after CO asked for more info.

I am interested as well to know if the status should change. I had a s56 as well. anyone please advise.

I've got that s56 email back on February 5th and I upload all the documents by february 20th. I also asked for a 2 vac for my partner that same day (that's a second application payment instead of seating the english  test).

My status shows "further assessment"

Also nomination not approved yet

Once you loged the application the status became received.

Once the case officer is appointed the status become initial assessment

If the case officer demand any papers and you supply them then your status becomes further assessment

Once the case is completed the status will become finalize

Hi guys,

New to this forum.

Just wanna ask, is any one of you received a "s56 REQUEST FOR MOER INFO" message but the status still showed up as "RECEIVED"?

I have flipped through some of the posts in here, and noticed the status should have changed to initial assessment after CO asked for more info.

I just feel a bit stressed.  Much appreciated if someone can help me to understand this.

Regards,

Mine also still shows as status received having sent them all the documents 2 weeks ago.

I reckon that's the process supposed to work. but it's not for me.

I got nomination approved on 15/03/2019 and requested more info for my visa on the same day. After everything uploaded on 1/04/2019, the status still "RECEIVED"

I have checked today as well, nothing changed.

Is this normal?

Okay Guys,

My AFP certificates came through today, I uploaded them into my immi account as per their instructions.

My immi account status has gone from Initial Assessment to Further Assessment.

I guess it's in the hands of the case officer now?

Your CO is certainly working ATM, unlike mine.

Hi mark how long u have been waiting and what is your occupation?

First I applied in June 2017 187DE Chef then I had problems with the establishment and they cancelled my nomination, then I reapplied as in Feb 2018 with a different employer as Cook 187DE.

I guess we have the same CO? LOL

Guess, the same with my CO. The status says received even though it has been close to 3 weeks since u uploaded the documents. Maybe the CO is on a easter holiday break.

Thanks for replying. Status certainly should have changed to "Initial assessment" as i received a S56 email. But does that mean that receiving doesnt necessarily mean that CO has been assigned or CO is on a holiday. Certainly confuses me, but there are few others like me who are in the same boat. 🤔

I suspect that the CO who grant the nomination is the same guy who sent the s56 email, but this guy won't be the CO who assess the visa application, which means our case hasn't been assigned to the CO yet. That explains why the status hasn't change yet.

btw like your name haha

Hi Everyone. I am a general practitioner with specialist registration in WA. I work in regional Australia in respect to the regional postcodes. I wanted to know if it is better to apply for the subclass 186 or 187 visa via the TRT stream? Which one is statistically quicker? Does my occupation change anything? I found this document online, does this help?

https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au/davidcoleman/Pages/new-funding-attract-migrants-regional-aus-20190208.aspx

I appreciate any answers you can give me. Kind Regards
