Fisher1
Is it usual to haggle on the price on a new car if you are paying cash?
Keith and Linda
I am led to believe that you would get a better deal nearer the end of the month when the dealerships are trying to get their monthly quota's.

SPRINTER
Tried to when we bought ours recently, no cash off but a couple of thousand in extras thrown in. Probably depends on the dealer.
Guest
End of year run out may have been a good time. That seems to be the big one for pretty much all the car makers. We looked at buying new in the most recent end of year run out but tbh given we only really drive around the city and rarely take longer road trips, we didn't see the point of splashing out a huge wodge of money on something that is exposed to the crappy driving and parking here There are plenty of ads for deals but many of them involve finance of some kind or a specific model. I'd go check out some dealers, see what they are offering and just come out and ask what price they can give you if paying cash. I'd also be asking about extended warranty, servicing and extras if they won't come down in price.
Wa7
Haggle everything, especially when buying new. All the dealerships will normally have the car you want so very easy for you to just walk away to the next one. As stated by others, if no joy on price then haggle for extras to be included ( window tint / tow bar / fixed price servicing / paint protection etc )
DukeNinja
In the UK, if you place a factory order, you're more likely to be able to haggle a bigger discount. Would it be worth trying this here?
Parley
With new cars the asvertised prices don't usually get discounted but you can haggle to get extra things thrown in. So look for optional extras things like floor mats, and whatever is appropriate to the car. Used cars is more where the price of the car can be discounted. B1K3R
Where is the largest concentration of car dealers around Brisbane? I am mainly looking at https://www.carsales.com.au but of course would want to go a bit around at car dealers...
