Moving to Sydney, need your advice for school, place

Hi All,

I and wife with 2 kids (9 and 7 years old) will move to Sydney soon. As I will work in Chatswood and my wife' job in Parramatta. We think that we will move to Strathfield. Could anyone give us an advice as Strathfield is good place to live (or any other suburb but close to train station as my wife cannot drive) and our highest priority is our kids school. Is any good school nearby? And how much per year for each of them? We are not Catholic, is that OK if they apply to Catholic school?

Thank you for reading and hope to get some advice from you.

Yes you can apply to a Catholic school, although priority will always be given to students of that faith.

I would say you have an excellent choice of schools

Marie Bashir

Strathfield Girls High

St Patrick's between $7k to $10k per year

St Martha's Catholic Primary

Meriden

Although most of the schools in that area are excellent they have tuition fees too match and are popular with international students.

Have a look at this thread although it's old it will give you some ideas.
