Hi all just looking for some guidance myself and my partner and our 2 boys aged 4 and 1 are really interested in immigrating to australia but im 33 and have had a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis for 8 years i am a registered nurse working part time and in reasonable health walk unaided etc. My partner is a joiner/carpenter of 15 years plus but unsure if we would get in because of my health we have been told that applying through my partner would be best but not sure how true this is dont want to spend a fortune on a visa to get rejected

many thanks jenni x

I think you would be best to consult a migration agent that specializes in visas for people who have medical conditions. There's one on the forum who has had excellent feedback on here. He's name is George Lombard i believe. Anyway i'm sure someone or even George himself will be along to advise you further. Good luck.

The medical could be an issue and all of you, regardless of who is the main applicant have to pass the medical. A medical condition is not a bar and the department carry out a process based on what someone may end up costing in care. As mentioned above you need specialist advice and George Lombard is a registered migration agent who specialises in visa cases with medical complications and is very highly regarded.
