My medical was referred, had been expecting it and it took a couple of months to get assessed. by someone and given the ok.You can't chase them to follow up on it, only wait for them to look it over and decide if it's ok or needs further action. What I was told was that it would be assessed within the timeframe given for the actual visa processing.
