Thanks Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz Macquarie Fields had very bad reputation at one time. A lot of public housing, high unemployment and the whole place seems to have been badly planned. NickyNook Posted July 17, 2017 Share Posted July 17, 2017 Mmm. If all of the 650-odd suburbs in Sydney were ranked by desirability, Macquarie Fields would be ranked in the 640s. i.e. Very low indeed. Maybe it's slightly improved on what it was in 2006 (when they had the riots) but there's only one direction it could have gone in. It's still not a nice part of Sydney.
