Wulworra66
Hi all, at first investigation stage of moving and looking through websites etc. Wondered if anyone had moved with Anglo Pacific uk to Sydney. Currently only small amount to send so initially looked at a small move cube however their quote gave a shipping price plus additional Australian Destination Charge. Same volume quoted slightly dearer from Anglo Pacific but no mention of additional destination charges therefore cheaper overall AND they provide packing materials etc. Is this right or will they also hit with a further charge once goods arrive in Oz do you know? Thanks
ScottieGirl
Don't know what the destination charge is but you will have to pay customs clearance whoever you use so clarify if this is what Movecube mean and if it is included in the AP quote. You are right about the packing materials, it is a significant cost which is included in removalists quotes. Buying it yourself will be more expensive as you are not buying in bulk like the big companies.
Lever40
Ive booked with move cube and if you look at the breakdown of the destination charges its basically the customs clearance charge plus the delivery fee of the cube if you chose door to door
Wulworra66
Thanks both for replying. We've decided on Anglo Pacific - overall cost was like for like in the end but it was the packing and materials included with AP that swung it
Guest
AP will be groupage probably so shipping could take longer if they need to wait to fill the container. Just be prepared is all.
Wulworra66
Thanks snifter. I'm allowing three months to be honest so hope I'll be happily surprised if it arrives earlier!
TheWayOfThePony
I went with Anglo Pacific too and my boxes were on the boat to Australia 10 days later. But yes as they need to fill the container it's the luck of the draw.
