So you think someone with a penis can be considered a woman? and therefore compete in elite women's sporting events?

Come on Parley, I thought you'd been to Specsavers?  Where on earth did I say that?

If it was a "woman's" event, why was a kid participating...?

There is no rule in any sport i know of that prevents minors from participating in adult events if they are good enough.

Boris Becker won Wimbledon at 17 when he could have instead played in the junior event.

Men competing against women there are rules about. You should educate yourself by listening to Martina Navratilova speak on this topic.

She knows what she's talking about.......came out of Eastern Europe during the Soviet era muscled up to her eyeballs.  They knew the advantage of turning women into men.

Do you remember the other famous Czech athlete, Kratochvilova ?  I like that she wore purple eye shadow so you knew she was female.

Cool story bro.  Once again you supply a lovely tale that's completely irrelevant.

I really hope you can tell the difference between a 13 year old and a 17 year old?

It must be so disheartening for young girls if they are going into bat against a much stronger trans woman.

Then don’t.  They are choosing to play up an age group (or several). This isn’t an adult choosing to play down.

However I don’t think a trans woman  possessing the extra size and strength advantages of her birth sex should be playing in the women’s category at all.  It’s an unfair advantage. It’s not sporting.

Great decision overnight banning transgender people competing against biological women in elite competition.

Women's sport will be protected from now on.

I agree, although Seb Coe stated "We're not saying (it's) no forever", so read into that what you wish.

It's taken far too long, and I think it's disgraceful that those who have opposed this publicly were vilified and labelled 'transphobic' for simply trying to uphold what's fair in sport.

It is weird how people have changed their thinking in recent years.

One poster on here even opined a person could have a penis and still be a woman

I believe the not forever comment was based on one day someone might have concrete evidence a trans women isn’t in any way advantaged and is equal to a biologically born women (in terms of strength etc) I cannot see how that could ever be the case and it’s clear currently it isn’t hence the decision.
