promisingsomeone Posted June 13, 2017 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Hey guys, Me and my SO are looking to move to Australia nearer 2018 before the demise of the 457 visa. I work as a recruitment consultant which is on the (current) list of jobs available, however I am more stuck on him so any advice would be great: he is currently working in Pharma as a PR account handler, with a branding and design element to his role. VERYSTORMY Posted June 13, 2017 Share Posted June 13, 2017 The first thing would be qualifying for a visa. Getting an employer to sponsor a 457, particularly after the recent changes would not be easy as your occupation is only on the short term list and also has caveats. This means you would only get a 2 year visa, extendable for up to 2 years, but with limited chance of getting anything to stay beyond that.
