Cheddy 0 Posted June 12, 2017 Hi, I have applied for a skilled Visa under an ICT Analyst (I'm a Business analyst in my field) but I have no computer related qualifications so need to complete a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). I think I have over thought the document as I am in a complete mess over it. How does it need to be written? Does it need to be 3rd person? Does it need to be really technical? I have so many questions...... If someone has completed one and has any advice it would be really appreciated.
VERYSTORMY 3,320 Posted June 12, 2017 I would speak to a good migration agent on this
Cheddy 0 Posted June 12, 2017 Thanks, I've emailed my migration agent (Who is MARA registered) and I know i'm over thinking it but i'm not getting anywhere and it means everything to me and my family.
Gareth 666 2,025 Posted June 12, 2017 I'm not sure if they've changed the process for RPL since I did mine in 2012 but I had to get my skills recognised by an accredited body. I had to go through TAFE to get an AQF level 3.
Cheddy 0 Posted June 12, 2017 I don't have any recognized qualifications so I have to complete a RPL on my work experience. My agent came back saying they are not allowed to help. :-(Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
VERYSTORMY 3,320 Posted June 12, 2017 Then I would look at changing agents! That is certainly and area an agent should be assisting in
Cheddy 0 Posted July 5, 2017 I have made a start on my RPL however I am stuck already - it's not the content but the structure. In the first section you have to write about your area of knowledge then 2 sub topics, further down it states in the notes you must restrict each explanation to no more than 1 1/2 pages. Is that the explanation for each area of knowledge inc topics or each area of knowledge then a further 1 1/2 pages for each sub topic? I know this all seems really thick but like I mentioned before I've got myself in a state over it.
