For families with children that are relocating to Brisbane, being in a safe suburb that's near all the best schools, parks, and recreational facilities is crucial. Ideally you want to find a suburb that has fast access to all these types of features, but isn't overly bustling. In terms of these qualifiers, the following two suburbs are without a doubt the most desirable communities to become a part of if you're raising a family Brisbane:

Victoria Point

Victoria Point is a lush, kid-friendly neighborhood located approximately 20 miles (or 30 km) from the centre of Brisbane. Also a favorite of seniors who have decided to move to Brisbane and delight in sunny retirement, Victoria Point is especially well-liked by families with children due to its accessibility to several schools. With a total of five local schools (three public and two private), parents who decide to call Victoria Point home have a variety of learning options to choose from for their children.

In addition, Victoria Point is in close proximity to Thompson’s Beach, a gorgeous sandy expanse that serves as the ideal place for a fun family outing. Other family-friendly amenities include newly enhanced neighbourhood shopping centres, several huge area grocery stores, a community library, a movie theatre, and a wide variety of niche stores and lake-front dining establishments. 

Holland Park

Holland Park is a safe, beautiful suburb located just over six miles (or 10 km) from the centre of Brisbane. Although some of the homes are slightly older in this area, that also means that there are plenty of reasonably priced choices for buyers who have a limited spending range.

Holland Park is absolutely perfect for families with kids due to its range of spacious parks, a nice selection of nearby schools, a well-stocked library, and a handy shopping plaza. Moreover, the neighbourhood's public transportation system is first-rate, so you don't even have to have a vehicle while raising a family Brisbane.

Wilston

If you earn a decent income and want to move your family to a great area, the suburb of Wilston might be just what you've been looking for. This stylish little neighbourhood has transformed itself from a nondescript expanse of land to one of the best suburbs Brisbane. Wilston has a hill-crested geography with wonderful views of the city. There's a beautifully architectured neighbourhood shopping strip with great bistros and an outstanding candy store, and nature-wise there are some fantastic nearby parks and beaches where the family can unwind. It's also conveniently located close to Royal Brisbane Hospital, a number of good schools, and the railway. 

Sandgate

If you're seeking a quiet place in Brisbane for your family where things seem to move at a gentler pace, Sandgate is one of the best suburbs Brisbane. A pleasant neighbourhood preferred by families with children, Sandgate isn't a chic or bustling community, but rather is a history-rich suburb with a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. This bayside community has a safe town hub, a railway station, awe-inspiring views, numerous walkways, and lovely areas for picnicking. So if you're looking to move your family into an idyllic paradise with a lack of pretense and gorgeous homes, you might want to give Sandgate a look. 

Graceville 

Graceville is another family-welcoming community that has a peaceful, country-style ambiance. This spectacular section of Brisbane is enclosed by the twisting Brisbane River, has beautiful post-WWII timber houses, huge land lots, tree-lined roadways, a few small but high-quality neighbourhood shopping departments, and a movie theatre, all of which have that casual country-type atmosphere. If you want your family to enjoy the quieter side of Brisbane, Graceville is independent, attractive, and not in the slightest bit snobbish. If you and your family aren't satisfied by the still natural beauty of this suburb, you might prefer an area that isn't as self-contained. 

The smell of nearby Chelmer's camphor laurels can be experienced daily in this delightful community, while Graceville's Uniting Church at the junction of Verney and Oxley Road is a regional landmark. Graceville is an extremely safe neighbourhood to raise children in, with lots of reconstructed Queenslander homes, several fascinating riverside houses, and plenty of lush greenery.

Bulimba

Bulimba is the type of suburb that is very easy to move into and want to stay in forever. It's also a self-contained community with a movie theatre, a number of wonderful book stores, fine restaurants, and a true small town ambiance, and it's a convenient stop on the ferry transport system to the centre of Brisbane. 

Bulimba is most attractive to families with relatively high incomes who want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Brisbane. The community is hidden away from most of the main streets, so it almost seems like you're in your own private paradise when you live there. In addition, it includes several terrific parks that are wonderful recreational opportunities for you and your family.
