Interstate removals Melbourne to Brisbane and backloading

Decide to relocate - me wanting to for a few years, so I came up to Brisbane and got a job 8 months ago. Wife just offered a job.

We have to move Melbourne to Brisbane in the next few weeks - by June 24

Keeping light on furniture and down to maybe a 2 bed worth of stuff (maybe getting rid of more stuff)

Had a backloading quote from Backloading Removals 
backloadingremovals.com.au/ of $1700 which seems pretty cheap (other quotes around $3k)

Anybody experience of the move and removalist used would be appreciated

We haven't used that company but we placed an ad on gumtree for a backload and like you it came in at a great price. I would recommend getting a couple of other quotes though before you jump at the first one because we realised some charged double of what a competitor would charge. We shipped our car from Melbourne to Cairns and that was $900 a few years ago now but it was cheaper than driving up.

Good to know you had an OK experience, I will probably go with backloading and will look around a bit more
