nursealex
Hi everyone, I made the move to Sydney in April 2016, and I've been working as a nurse in a private hospital since then, on a 457 visa. I have applied for a new position in the public health system, and wondered if anyone had any experience with changing sponsors for the 457 visa? How easy is it, timescale, price etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Alex Sent using Poms in Oz mobile app
Raul Senise
If the new employer is already approved, then only a nomination application is required to transfer your current 457 visa to the new sponsor/employer. Time scale for a nomination application can be anywhere from 1 day to many months depending on the specifics of the case. There should be no cost to you as by law the employer/sponsor has to pay for all costs associated with the 457 nomination.
