Josh bodz
Hi everyone. I'm currently making my way through the 189 visa, and will hopefully be submitting on 60 points. And I'm 23. Recently I've read a few articles that having 60 points can put you at the back of the cue, as it is the minimum, and some people have never been invited. obviously this depends on occupations etc.. I'm a plumbing and heating engineer with 7 years experience. Do you think my age and minimum 60 points could jepedise an invitation?? Or is there just as much chance as anyone else in succeeding? Thabks! Josh.
MaggieMay24
As soon as you submit your EOI you'll go to the back of the queue. Then invitations are based on points and occupation. If yours isn't a pro rata occupation (don't know which occupation code you'd be nominating but I don't think it is), then you go in the general queue and the invitation process is fairly quick, likely only need to wait 1 or 2 invitation rounds. Just make sure you calculate your points correctly because if you submit an application based on points you can't back up with evidence, you will be faced with a refusal and no refund of the fees.
Jag Khairra
Plumbers will get invitation very quickly, even on 60 points.
Melli
They also only really look at post qualification time. So I'm guessing that would be 3/4 years for yourself. Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
