Permanent Paediatric Nurse jobs

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the market is like for permanent paediatric nurse jobs in particular in Qld and Perth? I have signed up for dozens of recruitment emails but only pool/casual jobs seem to pop up. 

In my NHS trust our bank staff get the same induction and training as the permanent staff, but I've heard that's not the case in Oz?  Being chucked in the deep end with no induction makes me a bit nervous!

Queensland health often advertise for permanent positions at their children's hospitals.

Look at seek.com.au, and applydirect.com.au (they have a sister site for health too), also Linked In (LI).

Have you a LI profile?  If not set one up.  Search for people with your desired role in the locations you want.  Reach out to a few of them (particularly expats) asking their opinion of the local market for your skills, they will point you in the right direction.

Also don't rule out neonatal units you are qualified to work in this area too in oz

Hadn't thought of neonates but I've done cardiac and Picu so it could be an option, thanks.

You will find you get will get more than enough support if you're a permanent member of staff but if you're casual/pool then not so much.
