Deh Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Hi all. I'm eligible to apply from the 457 to 186 visa however our accountant is holding me back as he is yet to finish the 2016 financials. Cutting long story short I would like to know if it's possible to consider the training benchmark as a cumulative figure or if it has to be year by year. For example: if 1% our payroll it's 20,000 and we have spent $50,000 on apprentice's wages on the second year can the balance counts towards the third year?Appreciate if anyone can shed a light. Thank you [emoji5] Sent using Poms in Oz mobile app
MaggieMay24 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 According to what's posted on the DIBP website for employers: " You must have met the subclass 457 visa training requirements in each year you have been a standard business sponsor." So I would assume they cannot carry wages forward from one year to the next.

Thank you This is a complicated topic. The answer is dependent on many factors and in my opinion, beyond the scope of a public forum. Much more information would be required to answer your question properly. Do yourself a favour and obtain some professional advice.
