VERYSTORMY Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Hi and welcome to the forum. The starting point is border.gov.au and in particular look at the two occupation lists to see if your husbands occupation is on one of the lists. The second is that the list will identify who undertakes the skills assessment for that occupation and to check what is required for the skills assessment. Then work out you points which are awarded for education, qualifications, experience and age. At this point many people find they are short of points and the most common way to get extra is by doing an English exam such as ILETS.
Alan Collett Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189- Yes, have a look at the points test tab at this web page. Also, the migration skills assessment web page for the skills assessing body for your husband's occupation - likely to be Engineers Australia. Best regards.
