Guest The Pom Queen Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Hi and welcome to the forum. It sounds like the advice given is probably correct. Have a chat with one of the agents on here who may be able to advise. @Raul Senise @wrussell @Richard Gregan @Alan Collett
VERYSTORMY Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Most people find it impossible to get a permanent visa after the age of 45 due to the way the points system works. Getting business sponsorship will be hard as although it is only a temporary visa, gas engineers are a licensed occupation and gaining a license can be time consuming (and expensive) as it requires usually a year of on the job training maintaining a log book - a bit like being an apprentice again and undertaking a range of college courses. Then, if he were unable to get a permanent visa before the age of 50, he would probably not be able to.
