Quoll
He will need a diagnosis of autism and registration with Autism SA to get any kind of support (and probably not much at that). Having suggested PDA and autism traits isn't going to cut the diagnostic criteria, it's going to have to be much more concrete than that. http://www.autismsa.org.au/school-program Are you in Aus/SA already or are you in the process of applying for a visa because autism can be a deal breaker for visa applications. If you are in SA already then your special ed coordinator could tell you what's available.
benj1980
Quoll is absolutely right. We have received such concerns from parents but without a diagnosis our hands are tied. I'm in WA so maybe it's different. Educational Assistants will happily touch base and work with the child when they are not required elsewhere (student with funding?) To be fair we all try our best but it's not easy to satisfy parents who quite rightly just want the best for their child.
