Mea Culpa, I've been playing with a chat system (arrowchat) and a script was loading via http not https hence the message you were getting, all sorted now

As for quoting , im not sure what you mean, im using a laptop and when i clicked 'quote' to reply to you, your post came up in a box ,the curser under it ready for me to type a reply.. What do you mean its in a vertical bar?

Thanks Cal. On my computer the quoted post is not enclosed in a box but merely has a vertical line to the left

That's weird? I did this earlier and there wasn't an "overview"? All it showed was the column under "display name" with my email address etc

Thanks for the feedback Kev. You are the only one who as been negative about it but we will take your comments on board. Like Cal says I get a quote box on all my devices, mobile and desktop. Signature I also find easy. There are a lot more positives with the new forum which I'm sure you will get use to if you do stay around. Some people don't like change but sometimes you have no options.

No problem Kate and I appreciate fully that you had to move on from the old forum and now Cal has pointed me in the right direction for finding the last unread post, things are a lot easier. I was unable to see an editing facility in my account earlier but now I can, so that is no problem either. I still can't figure out why a quoted post is not in a box on my computer though when other members are?

It could be that the quote box is too light for you. I am not sure if @Cerberus1 can make the border stronger. I've added a photo of the quote box I get. I struggle with my eyes but I can make it out but I also understand everyone's eyes are different so it could be that it's not visible to you.

Yeah, must be my eyes as I can't see it on yours either, just the bold line down the left hand side. I can only just make out an arrow in the top right which goes bold if I hover over it which I think may be the corner of what should be the box

Definitely must be an eye sight thing. I can clearly see a border around the quoted text and the quoted text box is a different colour to the reply box.

I do think the forum is smoother and quicker to load things. I'm still figuring it out, getting there
