Hey guys, is January submitted applications opened for files yet?

Thanks!

Sorry that doesn't make much sense.

From the spreadsheet we keep, two applications have been granted that were lodged in Jan18. However, there are many lodged before Jan18 that haven't.

The immigration department has clearly said that they are not processing applications sequentially, it is a risk based approach (complete application, and I guess - no proof there - occupation, country of origin, sponsor?)

VISA REQUESTS: UPDATED MEDICALS AND NEW AFP CHECKS.

Got the medicals done today, feeling optimistic but a bit scared. I've hear that when you get a request for medicals, it means you're almost in.

Hey @Totto, did you have old medicals and AFP already in your application when you first lodged it? My gf Italian police check will expire this week, I already have an updated version valid until july 2019, but I wasn't sure if I should upload it now if the CO doesn't ask for it.

Literally proven wrong.

Also your Stu comment makes zero sense! You sure you are qualified for a visa? 186 is for skilled people so...

I am poor guy, not so skilled like you Mr Park. However, I have got my nomination, but not the visa yet.

Mostly the same as yours, my job duty, the company structure, ect.

They mentioned my application is at the last step to be finalised, however, they cannot guarantee how long it would take.

Hi Sph, did they advise you about the visit?  What type of information they required? thanks

No you don't. Please do not post things you do not know. Once you applied for PR (by lodging visa application), you can get Medicare and stop your private health insurance. I know it from personal experience.

Some say remain private health insurance and some say you can cancel it.

What would happen if you cancel it and then your nomination or visa get refused?you didn’t comply the rules by maintain a proper insurance and maybe you will not be able to lodge trt 186 again?I don’t know, does anyone have a definite answer ?

Yes I know that, and have stated it many times on this forum.

They will process applications on their terms, regardless of how long you have been waiting.

No, they didn't. It was totally a surprise visit.

They asked almost everything, like daily job, company structure, how the company interviewed me at the very beginning.
