Hi,

My visa direct entry 186 was lodged the 3/11/2017, but I had never heard about the nomination process. What is it? Is it something done by the employer as a one off or for each employee sponsored and is it a difficult process? (my employer is one of the big 4 accounting/consultancy firm)

Occupation: ICT business analyst (level 1)

Country: LR

Onshore

Thanks

they just requested the Australian police check but we re applied for the uk ones too just in case, we didn't want them to come back to us saying they want the uk ones too and have to wait for them coming through and pushing everything back again. I've submitted both to them so fingers crossed

we've reapplied for our australian police checks, we've only lived in aus since applying. been back to the uk on holiday a few times but that's it.  let us know when you get approved, so good you've been picked up.

ours went in july 2016, direct entry, 186, marketing specialist.

still waiting.....18 months!

Hi guys this is a message for all those waiting from 2016.

Any updates????

I'm 16 months pluse, called immigration and was told to wait and be patient.

My patience is running out ?

Dido you send your complain to Global feedback unit to push your case? I ask my MA to push my case today. My waiting period is over 10months.

Called them to follow up, I was wrongly advised. My application is still sat there,  not allocated. I was told to be patient. WAITING 16 MONTHS +

Is it the better way to call them to push the case rather than waiting the result? Is that what you suggested?

I don't think it's a good idea to push them, I think they are working as fast as they can go and calling them makes no difference at all.

You should be little bit more patient. There are so many people who have been waiting for more than 10+ months.

Your occupation looks like on the fast track, but it is totally normal to wait for around 6 months average.

Even global processing time for direct entry is 12-16 months (as long as I know)

Can anyone advise, if fast processing skills application doesn't gets allocated in 6 months, i mean no outcome then what is the standard waiting time for the result?

All my colleauges has received their PR in DEC last year except me so wondering i am now in the yearly waiting category :)

Also does it matter if an employee joined the firm close to the application date?

Thanks, I understand/know the processing time. My question was more around the nomination process. Is it a one off per company or is it per employee? This is not very clear to me.

Per employee :) Therefore, if your company is sponsoring several employees, then they have lodged separate applications for all of them.

I lodged my file for Ens 186 (Motor Mechanic) on 23rd March, 2017 . Still no response from immigration ... bit worried as 10th month is also finishing next week.. Anyone who got nomination or visa approved (or if lodged file in March,17) ? Anyone approval recently in same field ?

True.
Also, they have not updated their timelines since the 21st of December, I'm very worried that our timelines are going to increase this week or next...

I think it was also the 1st monthly Newsletter :-)

For now it's just a Newsletter, doesn't deserve any adjective! :-)

I don't know if the timeline presented is calculated based on ACTUAL data or just a gut-feely kind of comms from the government...
