It’s so obvious from the spreadsheet, and all the people announcing their grants recently on here. Someone on spreadsheet got approved for TRT and they applied in Sep 2017! MLTSSL of course

Someone on here said a few months back that immi has two teams: one team manages MLTSSL so the high priority jobs, and another team the SOTSL. It’s set up and resourced so MLTSSL are done faster

It’s more skill level thing .. they are processing skill level 1 and 2 .. I have not seen skill level 3 processing

Any 186 approval for Restaurant Manager from 457 as TRT...

Only nomination was approved in August visa still waiting we apply for visa in July.

it looks like some get approved earlier than others.

restaurant manager is not a priority visa, like chefs, and some retail industries which are the one with the lowest wages in Australia.

doctor nurse dentist IT etc etc have priority.

for us in hospitality or retail just waiting and waiting and waiting even if we have paid the same amount of money of a nurse a doctor or IT Specialist etc etc

Vic 154 u are skill level 1.. u will get it soon

Thanks for the info! So your job dictates your skill level? You don’t have multiple skill levels per job depending on your own individual experience?

Not true I will get it soon, I applied 01SEP17 but other people with same job TRT on list been waiting since Feb/March. Who knows....

Its just luck of the draw IMO. Im skill level 1, high earning bracket, marketing specialist from an approved sponsor (large university), all docs submitted in June. Heard nothing.

This is my third time going through the Aussie visa process and it never gets easier. Just gets worse! I paid nearly 40k in tax last year - you would think that the would want to make it easier for people like myself and many others in this thread ha!

I’m in same boat as you, work for big company and senior position. Been here 6yrs and worked every day I’ve been here.

It’s annoying because all my mates who got their PR pre-April 2017 announcement all got theirs in around 4 months regardless of occupation, etc, seemed to be pretty standard timeframes back then. Now, no one has a clue how long it’s going to be.

My MA told me last week I’m looking at anywhere from 6 to 16 months...at the moment. Bit of a wide timeframe that!!

Oh really? 4 months is bloody quick! Well let us all know how you get on.

That time frame is hilarious ha. Is that from now? Or from when you lodged it?

Hii Brad..

When you contacted dept, did he/she give you some information about processing or was it just an SAME WORDS response ie WE ARE WORKING ON IT?> I am thinking to call them, Waiting since 9months for TRT 186.

Called them to follow up, I was wrongly advised. My application is still sat there,  not allocated. I was told to be patient. WAITING 16 MONTHS +

hi, they requested more police checks for me and my girlfriend as they had expired (after telling me we didn't need to re apply for them), also more evidence of my self employment in the uk. I'm a carpenter

im de and onshore

Hi, did they ask for just the AU police check or in addition a new police check from the country you’re from? Even though you clearly haven’t lived there since the original check?

Ive lived in 3 countries the past 10 years and hope they don’t ask me to get them all again as it took me two months!

I understand them asking for AU one again as that’s where I’ve been living but unnecessary to ask again for other countries you haven’t lived in for years surely?

they just requested the Australian police check but we re applied for the uk ones too just in case, we didn't want them to come back to us saying they want the uk ones too and have to wait for them coming through and pushing everything back again. I've submitted both to them so fingers crossed

Can I just ask, what evidence did u give to prove your self employment?  I'm also self employed in provided, tax returns, references from my clients and my bookkeeper.
