And should we contact Immi about this issue? Heaps thanks If you already have your PR visa, you don't need to notify DIBP about any changes in your occupation, employer, etc.

venomsm
Hey guys, Following the thread and also with my details on the spreadsheet. I have done my TRT application on 20/01/17 and still waiting. A friend of mine have done his DE application for ICT Support Analyst on 17/01/17 and got his PR last Thursday so should I be excited waiting for my visa in the next few days right? If I decide to change job the day next of the the PR results, is there any problems with that? My MA (Fragomen) said that I could leave the company next day as my PR give me full work rights in Australia. Anyway, just getting more opinions on that. Also, there is nothing wrong in giving the immigration a call asking for my application status right? Thanks and good luck for all of us. Vic154
Hey guys looking at June 2017 tab in the spreadsheet only 2 visa applicants on there, yet when you look at June 2016 there was nearly 60! And it's a similar theme in May and April. Do you think this is indicative to the common trend, that PR apps have gone down? Maybe because applicants/companies can't or arent willing to comply with new rules? Or simply not as many people following this thread?I thought it would have been the opposite and applications would have increased. Interesting to know what peoples thoughts on this are who are in the know!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 I made a similar comment several weeks ago. Based on the spreadsheet the drop in number starts from Jan 17, which I don’t think is related to any policy change (April 17). I agree with you, I think fewer people are using the spreadsheet. I tend to use the spreadsheet to see which month the immigration team are working on. It appears they are eating their way through Jan 17. AMP-ens186
Hi last week i posted regarding the extended processing timelines. My Nom and Visa were lodged on 18th October 2016. I asked my MA (Fragoman) a couple of questions reference my application and what impact the extended processing times would have on my application. Questions and answers are listed below: Q - When the application was lodged the processing times were considerably shorter. Does mine follow the new processing times or the ones that were published at the time of lodgement? A - The new processing times do apply to your application. These are global processing times that apply to all applications under the same subclass Q - We will soon be approaching 1 year for both police and health checks. Is there a time limit on these and if so do I need to redo both of them again? A - The case officer has the discretion to accept outdated medicals and overseas police clearances however they will not finalise applications where the Australian Federal Police clearances has expired. As such, if we have not heard back from the Department at the start of September we will advise that you complete the Australian clearances again. Thanks

Thanks Thanks for sharing - My agent is also from Fragomen and gave me the exact same answer. In terms of timelines, when I read "Last updated: 14 June 2017 (for month ending 31 May 2017)" (on the immi website) I interpret it as follow: they took all their data, crunched it and then came up with this average. So for example, if there is a huge amount of application in June, we may see an increase in timeline in July 15. But by mid-August, we might see a decrease if there are less applications in July. When it comes to the docs, I renewed the police check but she told me to wait for the medicals. One thing that is important to understand: nothing is wrong with the files that are stuck in the backlog. They are just stuck in the backlog but will get processed eventually. Hi Jess, Yes you are right we just have to be patient. However looking at this site and others it seems there may be a case of IMMI prioritising applications depending on occupation and the sector you are employed in. Unfortunately for me and many others as Marketing Manager / Specialist and other roles are roles which on the surface are probably not a priority.

Yes, I am a Marketing Specialist too and came to this conclusion as well. The thing though, they are not supposed to do this. Subclass 186 has to be processed by order of submission. They are not even supposed to prioritised Transition over Direct Entry. This is the main reason why I said I found the process dodgy in an earlier post because they basically seem to apply any kind of untold rules while they should definitely communicate this when people apply and make some life changing decisions. tinkerjourn
Hi Everyone, Anyone here who tried calling the immigration? Is it Ok to call the department? My visa & nomination were lodged in 11/11/16. Nomination approved 09/05/17 and addl docs requested same day. Docs supplied 22/05/17. Its been a month and No feedback yet. My MA advised we can't chase the department until it goes beyond 9 mos. I'm just wondering why some apps in Jan-Mar 2017 were approved while there are heaps of pending from 2016. Christian
Hi friends, I have a question, a very particular situation. I got my PR a couple of months ago. the company where I work had been making people redundant (or as they say, people are just quitting). I got a warning weeks ago for things I believe are not fair (and not true according to me) regarding my performance. These days I've been reading all my documents (contract, previous 457) and I realised the amount in my contract does not match with the guaranteed annual earnings (the GAE are like 6k above to what I've received for the past 3 years, no raise at all). Should I inform this? Any comments? Does this affect my PR? Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!
