Zad the Mad Posted August 11, 2018 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Hi, I applied for electronics equipment trade worker back in Dec 2017 and waited till Mar 2018 to be picked up. My processing time was very short 5 days for Sate Sponsorship as i provide everything to cover the points claimed and after that I am still waiting for the application process to complete got a request for Form 80 and some other stuff. They look every couple of weeks in batches and look for the trades they are really short of. I had the same as GOTOAUS 55 points. Some jobs require higher points as they have lots of applicants and take the higher mark ones first. Also to let you know even if you do have enough points you may still be rejected if you cannot provide the evidence to back up your points. As for 190 vs 489 always go 190 as 489 is temporary visa and 190 is a PR visa. you would have to reapply for a 189 or 190 towards the end of a 489 you are also required to work in the region for 4 years on a 489 and only 2 on a 190. Please everyone remember just because you are invited doesn't mean you will get a visa, it just means that they think you are eligible.
